House of Hope Statement of Faith
God. We believe the Godhead eternally exists in three persons (the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit) and these three are one God, having precisely the same nature, attributes, and perfections.
Jesus. We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, death on the cross to provide for our redemption, bodily resurrection and ascension into heaven, present ministry of intercession for us, and His imminent return to earth in power and glory.
Holy Spirit. We believe in the personality and deity of the Holy Spirit, that He performs the miracle of new birth in the unbeliever and indwells believers, enabling them to live godly lives.
Bible. We believe in the divine inspiration of the Scriptures. The whole Bible, in the original manuscripts, is without error. As the revelation of God, we believe the Bible to be the sole authority and sufficiency with regard to Christian faith and practice.
Man. We believe man was originally created in the image of God. Adam fell through sin, and as a consequence of his sin, lost his spiritual life. This spiritual death, or total depravity of human nature, has been transmitted to the entire human race of man, the Man Christ Jesus alone being excepted. Thus every person is born into the world with a nature that is essentially and unchangeably sinful apart from divine grace. Salvation. We believe that, due to universal death through sin, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless born again. Our redemption has been accomplished solely by the blood of our Lord Jesus. We believe that the new birth of the believer comes only through faith in Christ. No other acts, such as confession, baptism, prayer, faithful service, or manifestation of certain spiritual gifts, are to be added to believing as a condition of salvation.
The People Who Make up
House of Hope
Tony Rodriguez (Co-Founder & President) oversees all field operations, handles all training material and coordinates mission trips with churches.
Jane Rodriguez (Co-Founder & Office Manager) coordinates travel, manages all team finances and paperwork, and coordinates orphan support.
Village Pastors will spend time with your team throughout your trip. They will go out with you on the “field days” when you share the Gospel. Many of them speak English and will serve as your translators. Take the time to get to know these pastors; each of them has an incredible passion for sharing the Gospel and their stories are remarkable.
Translators will be assigned to your team as needed for ministry purposes. They are Indian nationals who have been hired by House of Hope to provide the service of translating for your team. Translators are selected based on their ability to translate and for their demonstrated faith in Jesus Christ.
Interns are people who are not full-time missionaries with House of Hope, but are serving the Lord with us under the direction/leadership of House of Hope Missionaries. They have been trained and assigned to your team to provide servant leadership in a variety of ways.
Team Leader is the person or persons, if co-leading, who has been designated by your church or organization as the leader of your team.
Team Participants are those who have come to serve God and be challenged in their relationship with Him through this cross-cultural ministry experience.
